Campus MovieFest at UC Berkeley and Film Updates!

Hello!

If you haven't heard of it, Campus MovieFest is the world's largest student film festival. You get one week to film and produce a film with a maximum time limit of 5 minutes. You get a laptop with Final Cut Pro on it, a Sony HD camcorder, and tripod, boom and mic, to shoot/edit your footage on.

Elijah and I participated in this at UC Berkeley, Elijah writing the screenplay and directing, and me helping out on crew. After a long long week, we produced our result, which was due Tuesday 9/15, and found out yesterday at the CMF Finale that out of a whopping 200+ entries, Elijah's film made it into the top 16!

You can watch the film (titled "We Loved and Lost Again") directly here, or through the CMF link above, where you can see the top sixteen entries. If you really liked the film (which you should), please also support it by texting "VOTE41" to "41234" to help it advance to the Western Regionals! Elijah and I are both very excited to have our film up there, as there were lots of technical problems we had throughout the film (sound, lighting, focus), but overall we think the finished product looks good overall.

Meanwhile, we have finished filming everything for our Jin-Guo short, but because of CMF, editing has been delayed. But we will start the editing process very shortly, and hopefully get this film out by the end of September! We'll keep you posted.
